Welcome to Olympic College!

This Course contains information needed for new students at OC who want to use Department of Veterans Affairs(VA) and Department of Defense-ED (DoD) Education Benefits. Please explore the different Modules, there is a lot to learn about and there are many different chapters of VA Benefits.

Military & Veteran Programs

Military & Veteran Programs (MVP) is collection of resources for accessing information and support related VA and DoD education benefits as well as other support services at OC. As home of the Olympic College Student Veterans of America Chapter (SVAOC), Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE) Mentorship for veterans, and a SALUTE Honors Society Chapter, MVP offers a wide number of student life programs.

Some or all services may be offered virtually.

MVP Support Center

The MVP Support Center is located on Bremerton Campus in Building 11 Room 100. Students can access support in all aspects of their education at OC, fellowship and Veteran related activities, a calm environment to study or take a break, a computer lab, TV, and lounge.

Military-Affiliated students volunteer to staff the center and offer information related to student support services at OC, assist with funding applications, and make referrals to local community, financial, and benefits resources.

MVP’s student life programs SVAOC, PAVE, and SALUTE are hosted from the Support Center, for more information contact tsimons@olympic.edu.

MVP Benefits Office

The MVP Benefits Office can help students apply for, plan, and maintain their VA and DoD Education benefits. By contacting the MVP Benefits Office students can access information and support related to:

Students using VA Education benefits are encouraged to review information from the VA about their benefits found at https://www.va.gov/education/. Contact a School Certifying Official for any clarification of VA education benefits or information about VA funding related to available programs of study.
