Note: if you are unable to access any of the ctcLink tools and data discussed in this module, it means your permissions have not yet been activated. Please send an email, including screenshots of the page you are trying to access and any error messages, to ctcLinkAccess@olympic.edu.

NavBar > Records and Enrollment > Student Background Information > Student Advisor

see the module titled "Personalize my Advisor Homepage" for instructions on how to bookmark the "Student Advisor" page for easier access

1. On the Student Advisor search page, input the student ID or Name.

2. Select Search.

3. Check "Include History"

4. On the Student Advisor page, enter information into the following fields:

- Academic Institution: Input or Look Up. OLYMPIC COLLEGE CODE is WA030.
- Advisor Role: Advisor
- Academic Career: Input or Look Up: Will ALWAYS be "UGRD"
- Academic Program: Input or Look Up: Choose "PRFTC" or "ACADM"
  - NOTE: Student may have multiple programs. Choose the appropriate program that aligns with the students plan of study.
  - NOTE: If the appropriate program is not an option, a Plan Change Form may be required to have the student enrolled in the correct Program and Plan in ctcLink.
- Academic Plan: leave blank
- Academic Sub-Plan: leave blank - Olympic College does not have sub-plans
- Academic Advisor: Input advisor's ctcLink ID number or look up by name (click on magnifying glass)

5. Select Save.

Once the student is assigned, they will be viewable on the assigned Advisor's My Advisees list in the Advisor Center, and in the Advisors section of the student's portal.

If the student Completes or Discontinues their program, the student will no longer appear on the Advisor's list.
