Get Mathematica

Mathematica is currently installed in the following locations:

  • All open labs:
    • Bremerton: building 8 room 122
    • Poulsbo: building P1 room 106
    • Shelton: building S1 room PA2
  • Many of the computer labs in Science Technology building 8

Computer clusters

The Olympic College Mathematica license can be used for grid computing. If you are interested in using Mathematica for parallel computing on a dedicated cluster, or in a distributed grid environment, please ask your professor.

Student personally-owned machines

Students can download and install Mathematica for Desktop on their personal computers. Follow the directions below to download from the Wolfram User Portal. 

  1. Go to the website https://www.wolfram.com/siteinfo Links to an external site. and enter your OC email address.
  2. Select the Student designation and then your desired product, in this case, Mathematica Desktop.
  3. Create an account (New users only):
    1. Create Account.
    2. Fill out form using your @student.olympic.edu OC email, and click Create Wolfram ID.
    3. Check your em​ail and click the link to validate your Wolfram ID.
  4. Request the download and key:
    1. Fill out this form Links to an external site. to request an Activation Key
    2. Click the Product Summary page link to access your license
    3. Click Get Downloads and select Download next to your platform
    4. Run the installer on your machine, and enter Activation Key at prompt

Access Mathematica

Once you have created an account with Wolfram and have obtained a Mathematica license, you can access the software and download it here:  ​Wolfram User Po​rtal Links to an external site.


Get Wolfram|Alpha Pro

Students can ​request access to Wolfram|Alpha Pro following the directions below.

  1. Create an account (New users only):
    1. Go to user.wolfram.com Links to an external site. and click Create Account
    2. Fill out form using a @olympic.edu(for staff) or @student.olympic.edu(for students) email, and click Create Wolfram ID
    3. Check your email and click the link to validate your Wolfram ID
  2. Request access to Wolfram|Alpha Pro:
    1. Fill out this form Links to an external site. to request access
    2. ​Go to Wolfram|Alpha Links to an external site. and click "Sign in" to access Wolfram|Alpha Pro
